Position Overview:

A leading candle manufacturing plant in Sayville, NY, is seeking a motivated, reliable, and energetic mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Performing daily machine setup, adjustments, and repairs on production equipment.

• Conducting preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.

• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to ensure efficient production.

• Reviewing and maintaining machine safety features for compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related mechanical role.

• Proficiency in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with hand and power tools.

• Dependable, well-organized, and a quick learner.

• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

• Must be able to work day shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (weekends as needed).
