Job Duties:

• Drive or Transport vehicles to and from repairs facilities for specialized service or repair
• Drive or Transport vehicles to and from Fleet Management locations

Perform minor mechanical work such as:

• Replacing lights on vehicles or trailers
• Replacing tires on vehicles or trailers
• Replacing boards on trailers
• Assist with removal and installation of hydraulic cylinders
• Replacing hydraulic hoses
• Installing wiper blades
• Helping clean and wash wrecker trucks
• Helping keep the shop clean

Minimum Requirements:

• Completion of 8th grade plus 1 year of experience in mechanical repair work utilizing the required knowledge, skills and abilities and associated with such positions as Automotive Mechanic, Construction Mechanic, or General Shop Mechanic or 1 year as Mechanic Trainee; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. MUST HAVE A CURRENT AND VALID VIRGINIA OR NORTH CAROLINA CLASS B COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE.
