What You'll Be Doing
System Design: Create sophisticated mechanical systems for industrial automation, including conveyors and robotic EOAT
3D Modeling: Developed detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Component Engineering: Select and specify mechanical components, from bearings to pneumatic systems
Manufacturing Liaison: Collaborate with machine shops for custom part production
Cross-functional Integration: Work alongside electrical and controls engineers
Hands-on Development: Participate in mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive BOMs, assembly instructions, and maintenance manuals
Field Support: Assist with installation and commissioning at client sites
Core Skills and Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of mechanical design experience
5+ years of SolidWorks proficiency
3+ years of industrial automation experience
Expert knowledge of manufacturing processes
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and pneumatics
Proven experience with conveyor and material handling system design
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting abilities
Bonus Points For:
Experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing
GD&T expertise
FEA and structural analysis skills
FANUC or ABB robotic system integration experience
Hydraulic system design knowledge
Lean Manufacturing and DFM principles
Vendor/supplier relationship management experience
