    Assembly – Mechanical& Electrical Assembler

    The Mechnical and Electrical Assembler sets up and assembles components per drawing specifications and/or instructions. They will work from travelers, blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions as well as exercising judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals. Based on instructions/information given, they will operate various types of equipment on a variety of large and small parts using tools appropriate to the task.

    Scope:

    Our manufacturing company is looking for Mechanical & Electrical Assemblers to work in our assembly areas. In this position, you will work closely with other assemblers to connect components and construct our mechanical products. You must be able to read blueprints, know how to use a variety of hand and power tools, and able to stand for extended periods. Candidates must have mechanical and electrical assembly experience.

    Responsibilities:
    • Read and understand drawings and/or schematics
    • Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components
    • Work with other assemblers to create a final product
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

    • Mechanical problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills a must.
    • Must be able to read a tape measure and utilize various other air tools and hand tools.
    • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Must be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal) as it relates to the job.
    • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and demonstrate ability adapt to frequent change, delays and/or unexpected events.
    • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division.
    • Must possess 1 to 2 years (minimum) of general mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Experience working with both large and small equipment

    The incumbent must also demonstrate the following skills:

    • Operate a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts and other equipment as needed.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Standing - ability to stand for extended periods
    • Walking - ability to walk for extended periods within the work area
    • Lifting and carrying - ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
    • Hand and finger dexterity - constant use of hands and fingers for manipulation of parts
    Working Conditions:

    TruStop is a busy facility located in Tempe, with roughly 47,000 sq/ft of A/C manufacturing/assembly space. The assembly team will have to serve a number of products lines and projects during any given time frame, and may be diverted from one project to another throughout the course of a work shift requiring excellent organizational and time management skills to efficiently complete the required tasks.
