Our manufacturing customer in La Porte, IN is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to the team that is experienced with mechanical and electrical system design, creating BOMs, engineering support, and product improvement. Below is a general description of the role responsibilities:

Typical workload for the candidate includes:

? Designing mechanical and electrical systems

? Troubleshooting and investigating design issues

? Assisting in the development of production fixtures and tooling

? Utilizing computer-aided machining software to create programs for CNC mills and lathes

? Creating and changing Bills of Materials (BOMs)

? Creating and updating drawings and schematics

? Error-checking engineering drawings

? Writing and maintaining Excel worksheets

Preferred not required abilities:

? Experience with PTC Creo

? Experience with Fusion 360

? Experience with Odoo ERP system

? Basic knowledge of fabrication equipment and machinery

? Hydraulic design

? Electrical controls (PLCs, CANbus, etc)

? Quality process and inspection knowledge
