    The successful candidate will work closely with both Systems Architecture and Electronic Engineers to produce electromechanical systems, designed to seamlessly integrate with the human and tough enough to survive in the most rugged environments. The role requires the ability to plan and conceptualize systems, model in CAD, and then build and test to prove the design.

    This is a paid internship and has a start date of mid-May and ends in mid-late August 2025.

    Job Responsibilities - About the role - you'll need to:

    • Design parts in CAD for rapid prototyping, testing, and user evaluation

    • Design fixtures for assembly and testing

    • 3D print with FDM, SLA, and SLS machines

    • Post process and finish 3D printed prototypes

    • Support the product development team using fundamental engineering principles, theories, and practices

    • Work closely with electrical and systems engineers

    • Collect and document data from inspection, assembly, and testing

    • Create and give presentations for technical reviews

    Required Skills - About you - you'll need:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (3rd or 4th year)

    • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

    • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills

    • Desire to learn, problem solve, and work in a team environment

    • Ability to work independently
