Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering with 5 or more years of engineering experience in food manufacturing facilities required (Advanced degree and/or Professional Engineer in mechanical engineering and poultry and prepared foods process facilities preferred).
- Capable of working on multi-faceted projects while requiring little or no supervision; ability to complete large projects on time and on budget.
- Knowledge and ability of interpreting blueprints and specifications accurately and readily. AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with facility mechanical systems including high and low pressure water, steam and boilers, pumps and blowers, natural gas and compressed air systems, sanitation and vacuum systems.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, and process safety management (PSM).
- Understanding of NEC code, EPA, ASHRAE, and OSHA and their best practices.
- Ability to multi-task by overseeing several projects.
- Highly motivated, organized, and a self-starter.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Lead by example and follows company policies and ethical standards.
- 50% to 60% travel may be required.
