Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to be based in Dallas, TX.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) for building projects.
• Conduct load calculations, system simulations, and perform technical analysis to ensure systems meet client specifications, energy efficiency, and building code requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, electrical engineers, and structural engineers to create integrated designs.
• Assist with equipment selection, system sizing, and component specification to meet project requirements.
• Create and review drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards and regulations.
• Support the preparation of project reports, including design calculations, technical documentation, and progress updates for clients.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• EIT Certification upon graduation
• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other design tools
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
