    Mechanical Engineering Technologist
    United States | Direct-Hire | $70,000-$80,000 | Fully Remote

    Konik is partnering with an engineering client that is looking to add a Mechanical Engineering Technologist to their growing team. This position will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of industrial building projects. This position involves creating mechanical system designs, including HVAC and plumbing, using software such as AutoCAD and Revit.

    Mechanical Engineering Technologist Responsibilities:

    • Drafting and modeling HVAC and plumbing systems using Revit to develop comprehensive and accurate designs.
    • Producing detailed construction drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, or specifications.
    • Reviewing and verifying design drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements.
    • Utilizing BIM tools to identify and resolve potential design clashes within building services.
    • Managing and coordinating vendor and subcontractor information, such as drawings, submittals, and other relevant documents.
    • Maintaining documentation using platforms like Procore, OneDrive, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
    • Preparing subcontractor work packages to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Assembling complete documentation sets and submitting project drawings for approval.
    • Supporting engineering, estimating, and project management teams to deliver high-quality building projects.

    Mechanical Engineering Technologist Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related discipline (degree or diploma).
    • Ability to interpret and apply architectural and engineering specifications.
    • 3–5 years of experience in drafting and designing HVAC systems.
    • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with a particular emphasis on Revit expertise.
    • Familiarity with pre-engineered metal buildings, industrial ventilation systems, and commercial HVAC equipment is a strong asset.
    • Knowledge of Building and Energy Codes is a plus.
    • Effective planning and organizational abilities.
    • Analytical mindset for research and technical evaluations.
