Mechanical Superintendent - Commercial Construction
Position Summary:
This position holds responsibility for managing / supervising the onsite construction effort to ensure that a project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, required safety elements and warranty follow up.
The Ability to oversee and direct tradesmen / installers on Commercial HVAC / Plumbing projects (of various sizes) with varying timelines and other specific requirements are a must.
Person must be organized, team player, possess leadership mentality, and be customer focused.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in managing commercial mechanical systems with mechanical contractor experience ideal.
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills are a must.
- Solid problem solving and critical thinking skills to effectively lead projects as key contact for clients and field alike.
- Possess the interpersonal skills and proactive nature to build strong relationships while effectively driving schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overview – Responsible for successfully leading projects within a 50-mile radius of Nashville as point of contact for GCs and the field team to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Field – You’ll spend part of your day working with the field team to monitor progress, anticipate needs/issues, answer questions, solve problems, set expectations, and work with the team and GCs to build relationships.
- Office – Manage communications/correspondence/paperwork, report field staffing needs, track project performance, and keep stakeholders informed throughout projects.
