    Job Summary:

    The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating mechanical construction activities in utility-scale photovoltaic plant projects. The role involves leading installation teams, ensuring the quality of mechanical components, and meeting safety standards and project deadlines. This includes the installation of solar panel support structures, tracking systems (trackers), and other essential mechanical systems. Additionally, the Mechanical Supervisor ensure compliance with safety regulations on-site.


    Key Responsibilities:

    · Planning and Inspections: Organize and conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems involved in the plant's construction, focusing on preventive maintenance and addressing issues that may affect project progress.

    · Fault Diagnosis: Identify and resolve mechanical issues during installation, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.

    · Supervision of Installations: Oversee the installation of key mechanical components, including solar panel support structures, tracking systems (trackers), and other equipment related to the mechanical operation of a photovoltaic plant.

    · Quality Assurance: Ensure that all mechanical components are of high quality, meet engineering standards, and are installed correctly to maximize the plant's efficiency.

    · Workplace Safety: Ensure that all mechanical activities strictly adhere to safety standards, promoting a safe working environment and compliance with local and federal regulations.


    Education and Certification Requirements:

    · Academic Background: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related fields. Specific technical certifications in renewable energy plant construction are desirable.

    · Professional Certification: Holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license is valued, or technical course / associate degree, as well as OSHA safety certifications..

    · Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in mechanical construction supervision, with an emphasis on photovoltaic plant projects or large infrastructure installations. Prior experience with solar tracking systems and utility-scale energy plant construction is essential.

    · Technical Knowledge: Experience with mechanical systems, solar panel support structures, tracking systems, and other solar energy equipment. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications is crucial.

    Spanish speaking would be a plus, but not required.


    Work Schedule:

    · Full-time with flexibility to address off-hours demands, particularly during critical project phases.

    · Availability for frequent travel as needed to supervise different plant construction sites.

    Travel Availability: Occasional, depending on project needs at various locations
