    Med Aide - Swing/Day Weekends Thursday, Friday swing, Saturday double. SUMMARY Purpose This position is responsible for carrying out the ADL services to residents in accordance with their service plan at Bear Creek Memory Care including providing medication management services, personal care for all residents, communicating with medical professionals and families about the needs of residents under the direction of the health services director and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Scope It is understood that Med Aides supports the philosophy of Bear Creek Memory Care: • To create environments that respect the emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual needs of our residents • To attract, retain, and develop exceptional staff • To create communities that define exceptional customer service • Manage individual communities in a professional manner, meeting financial expectations and resident satisfaction Responsibilities: • Providing care for Residents: Med aides are responsible for following the services outlined in each resident's service plan in a friendly and supportive manner. • Maintaining required training: Med aides are required to maintain the proper certifications required by local and state licensing agencies, which include ongoing in-service training, accreditations, specific coursework, and certifications. • Continuous Quality Improvement: Med aides are responsible for following and complying with Bear Creek Memory Care. • Maintaining Compliance with all Local, State, and federal guidelines: Med aides are responsible for following all local, state, and federal rules and regulations as they apply to services delivered to all residents. • Safety compliance: Med Aides are responsible for ensuring that they work in a safe manner, that they support other employees in working in a safe manner, and that unsafe actions are corrected. • Team effectiveness: Med aides are responsible for fostering teamwork with coworkers, showing initiative in overcoming obstacles, taking actions that assist others beyond job responsibilities, and having a positive impact on coworkers, residents, and visitors. • Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Weekends are a must, swing shift & day shift. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Must have 1 year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function. • Supervisory experience of 6 months or more in a health-related field. • Must be able to read physician orders and match them to Medication administration records for residents. Understanding of medical terminology adequate to pass medications and communicate with medical professionals. • Verbally able to articulate in person and over the phone. Able to communicate in written form and complete documentation as required by state and Avant-managed community policies. • Med aids encounter stressful conditions dealing with residents, employees and business activities. Also must be able to work well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and follow through with ideas. • Excellent verbal and written skills and interpersonal skills. Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
