IT ADMINISTRATOR
MCC is seeking an IT Administrator to join our dedicated team in building the future healthcare IT in the cloud. The candidate for this role must have strong LAN/WAN, and cloud deployment experience, in both AWS and GCP as well as other leading-edge technologies constructed for cloud-native products. This individual will have an opportunity to administer and manage MCC’s infrastructure leveraging the latest cloud ecosystem.
The IT Administrator must have experience with modern software engineering, system integration, product management, result-oriented delivery, leading, communicating with leadership stakeholders in all departments, dealing with complexity, design thinking, and delivering the required training to all company level employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The IT Administrator will understand the product vision and the needs of the end-users both internal and external and will have a critical role in building the cloud-native product infrastructure and consistently collaborating with other highly skilled engineers in achieving better cloud-native features for the MCC suite of products.
· Must be able to research, explore, and work with open-source technology
· Implement cloud-native best practices
· Recruit, hire, and manage IT support personnel
· Manage all Microsoft and iOS systems and configurations including email servers and accounts
· Work closely with the development team in evaluating cloud-related requirements and recommend the best solution
· Able to prototype a concept rapidly with evolving cloud technologies
· Monitor and manage security controls
· Monitoring networks against unauthorized modifications, infiltration, disclosure, or destruction
· Configures and maintains all network security configurations
· Communicates established security policies or plans for cloud-based applications, third-party software integration, hardware, and telecommunications
· Performs periodic tests on the company’s firewalls and intrusion detection systems
· Advises and protects the company’s digital assets impacted by cyber security, ransomware, and hacking vulnerabilities
· Bring proven experience of common-used security controls and industry best practices
· Communicates with leadership team regarding the negative impact on the business resulting from destruction, theft, denial of access, or modification to digital information
· Recommends, evaluates, communicates, researches, and implements
· Dynamically research, evaluate, recommend, communicate, and implement new security software and devices
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· 6+ years of industry experience, with 4+ years of administering large scale modern software projects
· Experience with programming languages like Python and JavaScript is a plus
· Exposure to Microservices
· Experience working with Bigdata Data Lakes in a distributed cloud environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulated environments, system security, and privacy.
· Experience working with a web application ecosystem
· Experience working with CI/CD or DevOps methods
· An understanding of cloud infrastructure, modern application life cycle development, security, and health compliance
· Experience working in a distributed, cloud-based environment Google, AWS, and Azure
· Experience with cloud-native development and deployment
· Must have practical experience building, securing, and running containerized workloads leveraging Kubernetes
· Knowledge of HIPPA and other compliance requirements
· Experience with Terraform
· Must understand network concepts, load balancing, serverless computing, and foundational concepts in architecting cloud-native applications
· Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native concepts, security, scalability, and the twelve-factor app manifesto
· As an administrator responsible for the installation, configuration, repair, and preventive maintenance of end-user software and computing devices, telecommunication equipment, and network devices
· Provides technical support and troubleshooting on hardware alerts and failures
· Provides support on hardware and software changes, releases, and patches
· Ensures systems and related equipment are in working condition and performs upgrades as needed to maintain operational status
· Maintains and communicates periodically on repairs, changes, downtime, and updates to IT assets
EDUCATION
· B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related engineering field
· Cloud certification
· Network Certified

Salary is commensurate.
Location is Austin Texas in MCC’s Corporate office.
