    Job Description

    Medcor is looking to hire a Registered Nurse (RN) to be COVID Compliance Officer at a large and well-known entertainment studio located in CENTURY CITY, CA. This is a variable hour position working approximately 8-10 HOUR shifts (1st shift), Monday – Friday. This is a temporary position to run until July 1, 2021 with the possibility of extension. 

    This individual will assist the Studio with implementation and oversight of all Covid-19 safety plans and questions. Specific duties and responsibilities of the COVID-19 Compliance Officer may include, but are not limited to, working closely with various department managers, unions, HR representatives, and the Health and Safety department overseeing and monitoring physical distancing, symptom monitoring, disinfecting protocols, PPE education, and adherence to all current Los Angeles Dept. of Public Health applicable appendices, CDC, and FOX guidelines. 

    A TYPICAL DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDCOR COVID COMPLIANCE OFFICER

    • COVID-19 Compliance Officer (CCO) will be assigned to the entire FOX Lot, which does not include productions but will require working along side various productions and their specific COVID teams
    • Ensure that FOX's policies regarding COVID-19 are communicated and enforced on a daily basis
    • Field any COVID related questions from employees, contractors, guests, managers, and/or HR
    • Consult with Environmental, Health, and Safety team, FOX HR and FOX legal regarding COVID-19 updates
    • Ensure the COVID training materials are made available and distributed as requested
    • Disseminate information and questions to appropriate departments
    • Ensure that signage (Social Distancing, PPE, hand washing) is displayed around the workplace
    • Liaison between security to initiate Contact Tracing and proper cleaning based on COVID protocols
    • Periodically advising management and executives on questions or issues that arise
    • Work closely with management and HR to correct unsafe practices such as improper social distancing and wearing of PPE

    YOU MUST

    • Have valid unrestricted California RN license and current CPR/BLS certification (Need to provide proof of current license and certifications)
    • Have experience working with COVID testing or screening or with compliance
    • Have at least 1 year management or leadership experience
    • Have a positive and outgoing personality
    • Be detail oriented and well organized
    • Be good at prioritizing and multitasking
    • Be willing to go above and beyond to give excellent customer service
    • Love people and giving them the best care humanly possible
    • Be able to check temperature using a thermometer (Medcor to provide training as needed)
    • Be able to wear required PPE for up to 12 hours per shift (face mask, eye protection, medical gloves, gown, safety vest, etc.)
    • Be able to work in an outdoor environment (subject to change)
    • Be able to pass a fit test for a respirator based on OSHA laws and compliance standards (facial hair must not interfere with seal of mask)
    • Have strong English skills
    • Be able to repeatedly climb a 3-step ladder, and perform bending, lifting, twisting, reaching, squeezing, and standing for long periods of time
    • Have strong communication and customer service skills
    • Have strong technology skills (navigate cell phone or tablet & texting)
    • Learn Medcor’s COVID-19 information once hired (provided by Medcor)
    • Learn FOX's COVID-19 protocols once hired (provided by FOX)

    IT’S A PLUS IF

    • You have COVID compliance experience
    • You are bilingual (English & Spanish)

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The COVID Compliance Officer is required to work in a variety of work environments designated by the client. The COVID Compliance Officer will be working in a COVID-19 exposure environment with known and unknown associated health risks. Individuals with underlying health conditions who contract COVID-19 have greater risk for morbidity and mortality as defined by the Centers for Disease Control (cdc.gov) and should consider these risks prior to accepting this position.
