    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Admissions Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the admissions process for patients, ensuring a smooth transition into our healthcare facility. This role involves collaboration with various departments, patient interaction, and adherence to medical protocols to provide exceptional service and support to all incoming patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Facilitate the admission process for patients, including pre-admission assessments, intake procedures, and coordination of necessary paperwork.
    - Assist patients and their families in understanding the admissions process, available services, and any required documentation.
    - Compile and maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant guidelines.
    - Verify patients’ insurance coverage and benefits and assist with financial planning and payment options as necessary.
    - Collaborate with medical staff, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, to ensure that all necessary pre-admission evaluations and procedures are completed.
    - Schedule admissions and, when necessary, coordinate transfers to other facilities or departments.
    - Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly, providing the highest level of customer service.
    - Maintain updated knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and medical services offered to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
    - Conduct follow-up calls or visits with patients' post-admission to ensure continuity of care and satisfaction.
    - Support the implementation and execution of quality improvement initiatives within the admissions process.

    Qualifications:

    - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare or admissions role, with a strong understanding of the admissions process.
    - Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare policies, and patient privacy regulations.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focus mindset.
    - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
    - Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations as needed.
