Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside technologists, nurses and medical staff, and assisting with patient prep, treadmill monitoring, EKG's, etc: patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has some previous office experience. Other needed/required skills will be taught and oriented.

Responsibilities

Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment

Clean instruments and equipment after use

Answer field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs

Assist technologists and doctors with basic medical care and procedures

Track results, and handle basic medical office duties

Data entry and basic computer skills to input lab details and inventory.

Qualifications

BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired

Excellent customer service skills

Strong attention to detail
