    Medical Assistant Job Summary:

    We are looking for an enthusiastic full time experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Chesapeake ENT. This opportunity will allow the employee to grow into new roles and responsibilities. This position rotates between up to 3 office locations: Owings Mills, Rosedale, and/or Columbia. Travel to different locations is required. The hours of work are varied Monday through Friday, but between business hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM in 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. No weekends.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Escort and interview patients.
    • Monitor and take patient vitals.
    • Perform clinical tasks to support medical staff.
    • Assist with procedures.
    • Order prescriptions through EHR.
    • Communicate with insurance companies for pre-authorization.
    • Administrative duties, such as answer phones and take messages.
    • Assist with pulling charts and filing paperwork on as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Skills/Abilities:

    • Previous experience in a medical office.
    • Experience with obtaining pre-authorizations for procedures.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work in multiple office locations (Owings Mills, Columbia, and/or Rosedale). Travel is required.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma
    • Certified Medical Assistant preferred
