We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside Providers, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. You will work directly with our medical providers performing routine skin examinations, biopsies, excisions, cosmetic laser treatments, and cosmetic fillers. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous medical office experience.
Responsibilities
Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
Document physical examination notes
Prepare the patient for biopsies, excisions, MOHS surgery, cosmetic and laser procedures
Bandage patients following procedures
Explain all procedures to patients including biopsies, excisions, cosmetic treatment plans
Proficient in electronic medical records
Must be a teamplayer
Able to multi-task
Able to provide excellent Customer service for high profile patients
Medical Assistant Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2+ years of experience working for a Dermatology practice (preferred but willing to train the right person)
High level of professionalism
Strong customer service skills
