Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in our two locations of New York City and Jericho Long Island! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by going over their intake information and making sure all notes are up to date and accurate. You will provide support alongside Dr. Alizadeh and the medical staff. Making sure all medical records, intake forms and patient information is, updated. making sure pre-op information and consent for surgery is filled out properly and is accomplished in a timely manner. You will also assist Dr. Alizadeh in surgery as needed. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an amazing drive, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment and has previous medical assistant experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare for the patient visit, as well as setting up medical equipment.

Sanitize instruments and equipment after use.

Contacting patients to field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs.

Assist the doctor with all medical care and procedures.

Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle medical office duties

Assist Dr. Alizadeh in surgery.

Qualifications

BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired

Excellent customer service skills

Strong attention to detail
