We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and professional Medical Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional health care services primarily within skilled nursing facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a clinical setting, have a high level of professional documentation, and be open and comfortable with change.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians with medical documentation and orders
Take and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and weight.
Collaborate with health care team from facility and effectively triage to our providers
Maintain patient charts and medical records.
Organize schedule to ensure maximum efficiency
Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures as necessary
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including HIPAA.
Manage incoming and outgoing communications via email, phone, EHR, etc in a timely manner
Participate in coordination of care meetings
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a medical assistant or equivalent experience required
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
