    Job summary

    As the Medical Assistant/Front Office Associate for Vitality Clinics, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, some of your typical job responsibilities will include clinical, operations, administrative and assisting the Director of Operations and Clinical Manager. This position is 50% clinical and 50% administrative. Responsibilities include: patient care including Lab draws, monitoring vital signs, updating patient charts in Kareo EHR, giving injections, assisting in procedures with NP or PA, upselling services and supplements, as well as other measures directed by established clinical protocols, etc. Administrative duties will include patient confirmations, phones, patient texting, collecting payments, scheduling, medical records, requests/management, and other clerical duties. Lab duties will include overseeing quality weekly checks of equipment, environmental logs, and ensuring specimens are processed correctly by clinic staff as well as maintaining clinic inventory supplies. Your role will be a blend of in clinic performance, sales and administrative. Your role is a fluid position that requires knowledge of both front end duties as well as back end. Success in this role will require the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with patients, clinic staff, and executive administration.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Others may be assigned.

    · Ability to obtain vital signs and perform phlebotomy. · Collect specimens as necessary

    · Verify patient’s chart for chief complaint, medication history, and meaningful use items before the provider comes in the room for the actual consultation.

    · Review and record medical history and update medication record as needed per visit.

    · Draw up correct medications and administer injections correctly (ie: SQ or IM).

    · Maintain confidentiality of all patient information as well as company proprietary information.

    · Ensuring that all lab orders & imaging is sent out in accordance with what the provider ordered

    · Keeping a controlled inventory of all supplies received at the clinic. Manage Inventory requests weekly.

    · Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduce the likelihood of medical/health care errors. This may include concierge visits in home or office settings.

    · Follow up on lab send outs and cultures as well as being the point person for contact with outside lab managers.

    · Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs for telemedicine, concierge or in clinic visits.

    · Assist with administrative, and operational duties, as needed.

    · All other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

    Minimum Requirements

    2-5 years of experience in a medical office, hospital or acute care setting preferred

    Certified Medical Assistants preferred, non certified MA's will be considered with strong leadership background and experience.

    Phlebotomy experience a plus.

    Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Quality Focus, Professionalism, Productivity, Thoroughness, Coordination, Deadline-Oriented, Internal Communications, Excellent Customer Service.

    Ability to work under pressure.

    Familiar with Medical Terminology

    Typing minimum of 35wpm

    Able to count cash and make change when appropriate

    Working Environment / Location of Position / Abilities required

    Must be able to work in sitting position, use computer and answer telephone

    Ability to travel to all clinic locations by personal vehicle

    Includes ability to walk through clinical departments across multiple centers

    Working Conditions Work is performed primarily in a medical clinic and office environment. Involves frequent contact with the public. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.

    Physical/Mental Demands Requires hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, mobility to complete errands, or sitting for extended period of time. Strong lab and injection skills required. Must possess visual and auditory acuity in order to communicate with co-workers, patients and other customer groups. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

    Job Type: Part Time with potential to lead to Full Time.

    Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
