Job Responsibilities: Medical Assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties.
Administrative Duties:
Scheduling new patient appointments
Updating and scanning patient medical records
Coding and filling out order forms for PT, MRI's Lab Work, etc.
Process referrals & authorizations
Successfully navigating clinical software
Answering and returning patient phone calls & voice messages
Greeting patients
Preparing consent form for procedures
Covering the front reception desk
Collecting patient co-payments
Maintaining fax inbox to patient charts and to staff members
Prepare prior authorizations forms for patient prescriptions
Confirm procedure appointments on the day prior
Clinical Duties:
Patient Intake and Vitals
Explaining treatment procedures to patients
Collecting and preparing laboratory procedures
Assisting the physician during procedures
Maintain and restock patient rooms
Maintain and restock all inventory of medical supplies
