    Job Summary:
    The Medical Assistant and Lab Technician will provide both administrative and clinical support to medical professionals within the medical spa. This role involves assisting with treatments, performing lab-related tasks, managing client records, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the clinic. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both medical assistance and laboratory procedures, bringing a well-rounded skill set to support their medical and aesthetic treatments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Clinical Support:

    • Assist medical professionals with IV therapy, aesthetic treatments, and wellness procedures.
    • Prepare clients for treatments, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures.
    • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and monitor clients during and post-treatment.
    • Draw blood and collect specimens for lab tests as needed.
    • Perform routine lab tests and ensure proper handling of samples.
    • Provide post-treatment care instructions and assist with follow-up communications.
    • Maintain sterile environments by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

    Laboratory Duties:

    • Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection techniques.
    • Prepare and process lab samples for in-house testing or send-outs to external labs.
    • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and storage of all laboratory samples.
    • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and timely results.
    • Follow all regulatory and safety guidelines related to laboratory practices.

    Administrative Duties:

    • Schedule and confirm client appointments using the medical spa's booking system.
    • Maintain and update client medical and lab records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
    • Handle client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding medical and aesthetic services.
    • Process payments, manage transactions, and provide detailed treatment and lab reports to clients.

    Client Care:

    • Greet clients warmly and ensure they are comfortable and well-informed about their treatments.
    • Address client questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
    • Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care, wellness protocols, and product usage.

    Inventory and Supplies:

    • Monitor and manage the inventory of medical and laboratory supplies and equipment.
    • Order and restock supplies as necessary to ensure efficient clinic operations.
    • Ensure treatment and lab rooms are fully stocked and equipment is properly maintained.

    Safety and Sanitation:

    • Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.
    • Ensure that all treatment rooms, lab areas, and medical equipment are cleaned and sterilized according to standards.
    • Properly dispose of medical waste and ensure lab samples are handled safely and in compliance with guidelines.

    Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with medical professionals, aestheticians, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive client care.
    • Assist with special events, promotions, and marketing activities as required.
    • Communicate effectively with management regarding client feedback, inventory needs, or any operational issues.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program.
    • Certification in phlebotomy or experience with blood draws and specimen handling.
    • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
    • Experience working in a medical or aesthetic setting, with familiarity in IV therapies, is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, lab management, and scheduling software.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations for both clinical and lab environments.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
