Job Summary:
An Administrative Assistant will be responsible for answering a large volume of phone calls relating to medications and authorizations. In addition to a myriad of disability documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
-Answering phone calls and assisting patients with medications at guidance of Clinical staff
-Maintain a calm demeanor with patients.
-Assisting patients with filling prescriptions.
-Outgoing Injection follow up calls.
-Workers compensation authorization portals.
-Directing phone calls to correct departments.
-Assisting with misc. administrative tasks in the medical office.
-CoverMyMeds, Medicaid Authorizations
The right candidate has experience getting authorizations for medications through CoverMyMeds and the workers compensation portal; in addition to general knowledge of medications. The right person is great over the phones and enjoys answering to help patients who have to update medication information, pharmacies, or serve as a liaison to the providers.
