Neurosurgery practice is looking for a full-time medical assistant who is detailed oriented and reliable and can travel to our two locations.
Responsibilities
Room patient, obtain vitals, obtain patient histories, review medication list.
Assist physician during exams
Prepare medical records prior to appointments and ensure all pertinent information, such as lab results and reports, are in the file prior to the physician’s visit
Manage physician schedule to make more productive
Perform a range of basic office support, not limited to answering phones and triage patient’s phone calls, routine clerical data entry, and scanning documents
Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Prior authorizations for office visits, procedures, and testing
Skills
Proven working experience as a medical assistant with 1-2 yrs experience
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Detailed oriented
Able to work independently and as a team player
Travel to our two locations
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of eClinical Works a plus
