    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. You will interact with patients, pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals, assisting in medical treatments, diagnostic procedures, and patient education to support high-quality care.

    This position may require remote work and is subject to all current CMS vaccine mandates.

    Key Responsibilities: Patient Care & Clinical Support:

    Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures while ensuring patient comfort.

    Escort patients to exam rooms, document medical history, vital signs, medications, and allergies in electronic records.

    Perform basic wound care, medication administration, injections, and blood draws as directed.

    Conduct EKGs, assist with GYN exams, and collect lab samples for testing.

    Observe and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments to medical personnel.

    Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and health management.

    Administrative & Coordination Duties:

    Serve as a point of contact between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring smooth communication.

    Assist with scheduling tests, treatments, and referrals as needed.

    Maintain clinical supplies, exam rooms, and medical equipment, ensuring all materials are up to date.

    Track and log drug samples, immunizations, and inventory vaccines according to regulations.

    Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards.

    Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and meaningful use criteria.

    Quality & Compliance Responsibilities:

    Participate in quality assurance, professional development, and emergency preparedness training.

    Monitor and document patient progress, chronic disease care protocols, and test results.

    Assist in maintaining regulatory requirements for laboratory operations.

    Support workplace culture that treats patients, providers, and staff with dignity and respect.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical equipment, and treatment protocols.

    Strong problem-solving, communication, and patient care skills.

    Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.

    Proficiency in medical record documentation and basic arithmetic.

    Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems.

    Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
