    Job Summary:

    New York Medical and Vascular Care (NYMVCare) is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide essential clinical and administrative support to ensure high-quality patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Clinical Duties:

    Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations and procedures.

    Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient concerns.

    Administer injections, EKGs, and other diagnostic tests as directed.

    Prepare and sterilize instruments and examination rooms.

    Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

    Administrative Duties:

    Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records (EHR).

    Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.

    Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

    Coordinate with laboratory and imaging departments for patient testing.

    Answer phone calls and assist with patient inquiries.

    Qualifications:

    Certification: Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or hold similar qualifications.

    Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.

    Skills: Proficiency in EHR systems, strong organizational abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills.

    Other: BLS/CPR certification required; bilingual candidates are a plus.
