Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers.

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will assist in managing patient schedules, maintaining patient records, handling insurance verification, and performing other administrative duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate appointment calendars.

Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.

Verify insurance information and process patient billing.

Prepare and maintain patient medical records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Assist with medical coding and billing procedures.

Prepare and organize patient charts and office materials.

Assist healthcare providers with clinical duties as needed.

Handle patient check-ins, check-outs, and insurance verification.

Ensure the office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and medical office software.

Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of insurance verification processes.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Strong multitasking skills with the ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
