    Job Summary;

    Assists with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature.

    Required Skills

    1. High school diploma or GED.
    2. Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical training.
    3. BLS certification required.
    4. One year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified is preferred.
    5. Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
    6. Interviewing skills.
    7. Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols.
    8. Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures.
    9. Ability to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture, EKG, in accordance with established clinical protocol.
    10. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.

    Required Experience

    USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.

  • Qualifications
    • Must be competent in the use of basic office equipment including computer, printer, telephone, and fax.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and remain poised and professional when interacting with potentially hostile patients and family members.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
    • Current certification in BLS.
