    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team! We are a pediatric office focusing on holistic care.     Responsibilities

    Prepare for the patient visit, including prepping chart, as well as setting up medical equipment

    Obtain accurate vital signs

    Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs

    Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties

    Perform basic laboratory test and Newborn Screenings

    Administer medications, injections and vaccinations as directed by the nurse practitioner

    Ear piercing

    Venipuncture lab draws

    Ordering labs including specialty testing

    Manage vaccine inventory and complete reports for Vaccine For Children

    Keep inventory of medical supplies

    Clean instruments and equipment after use

    Minor cleaning of clinic daily

    Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies

    Qualifications

    Certified Medical Assistant (CMA),Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Preferred

    2 years of medical assistant experience. if not certified

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Working knowledge of medical terminology

    Phlebotomy experience desired

    Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written

    Handle administrative duties in a timely manner

    Strong attention to detail

    Job Hours

    8:30-5:30 (Monday-Friday)

    Expected hours: 38 per week

    No weekends
