Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our medical office team! The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working in a medical office setting, strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (CPT and ICD codes), and billing practices, as well as knowledge of HIPAA regulations. The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential for this role.

Responsibilities · Conduct thorough insurance verification for patients before service is rendered.

· Review and process insurance claims efficiently using the eClinical Works platform.

· Collaborate with the clearinghouse (WayStar) to ensure timely submission and processing of claims.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and patient information.

· Address and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies promptly.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA.

· Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and other medical office staff.

· Assist with other billing-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

· Experience working in a medical office setting.

· Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (CPT and ICD codes), and billing practices.

· Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements.

· Proficiency in using eClinical Works or similar electronic health record (EHR) systems.

· Experience working with the clearinghouse is preferred.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
