Medical Billing Specialist: Growing Otolaryngology Practice serving the Summit/Springfield area of NJ, seeking an experienced medical biller with a minimum of 4 years billing experience to become an integral part of our billing and collections team. Must be goal-oriented, revenue-driven, detail oriented, highly accurate and reliable. Experience in Otolaryngology a plus.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

Data entry of daily charges

Posting of all payments

Submitting clean claims to Insurance Companies

Reconciling paid claims, denials, rejected claims and generating re-submissions when applicable, including appeals

Generating and reviewing monthly billing statements

sending out monthly statements

Consistent follow up on unpaid claims and patient account balances

Answering phones

Scheduling appointments, check-in and check-out patients

Required Skills:

Experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding

Excellent oral /written communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certification preferred but not required.
