As a regular full-time employee, you will work onsite in our Oklahoma City, OK office Monday – Friday with hours sometime between 8 AM and 5:30 PM. Upon your start date, you will begin accruing two (2) weeks of paid vacation, twelve (12) sick days, and up to two (2) personal days per year.     What you will do:

    As a medical billing specialist, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate claims submission, payment follow-up, insurance verification, and regulatory compliance, contributing to the financial health of the organization. In addition, you will be an administrative services coordinator who manages office supply purchasing, develops training materials for administrative staff, serves as a resource for policy-related questions, and handles customer service inquiries via phone, text, and email in a timely manner.

    Some other essential functions:

    • Assign appropriate ICD-10 in rank order based on information provided by ordering providers.
    • Dispute and follow up on wrongly adjudicated claims.
    • Establish electronic access (EDI enrollment) for claims filing and payments
    • Serve as the primary contact for the billing software vendor and resolve claims errors.

    About you:

    • Your Education: High School Diploma (some relevant college courses or bachelor’s degree preferred)
    • Your Experience: Extensive knowledge of medical or laboratory billing functions, knowledge of billing regulations, and a fundamental and practical knowledge of HIPAA.
    • Nice to have: Familiarity with Advanced MD Software, Sage 50, or certifications like CPB or CBCS.
    • You are a very detail-oriented person who can perform accurate and efficient data entry.
    • You are resourceful and have the ability to organize, analyze, and evaluate complex information, enabling you to solve problems efficiently and make informed decisions.
    • You have excellent customer service and written and oral communication skills.
    • You are an empathetic professional who is dedicated to helping others.
    • You enjoy learning and want growth opportunities.
