Job Title: Medical Billing and Coding Coordinator

Work Schedule: **** In-person | 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Billing and Coding Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing and coding procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze patient medical records to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for services
- Process and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
- Resolve billing discrepancies and coding errors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in billing and coding regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement

Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience in medical billing and coding
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of insurance billing guidelines and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification

- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
