    Medical Billing and Coding Manager - Medical Office - Base Salary to 60k/year - Jacksonville, NC

    • Our client, a well-established multi-site medical practice, is currently seeking a Medical Billing and Coding Manager for their Jacksonville, NC location.
    • The Medical Billing and Coding Manager will be responsible for medical coding and team management (5-6) to oversee the billing team and work through charges and daily tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review and analyze patient records for accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG systems.
    • Process medical billing claims in accordance with established guidelines
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices and regulations
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies
    • Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid claims and resolving billing issues with insurance companies
    • Utilize various medical billing systems to input data accurately and efficiently
    • Provide support to staff on medical coding practices and billing procedures

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of medical coding experience & team management experience
    • Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing
    • Proficiency in medical coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9
    • Understanding of DRG methodologies and their applications in medical billing
    • Familiarity with medical terminology and its relevance in coding accuracy
    • Experience in medical billing processes within a healthcare setting
    • Knowledge of medical collection practices and effective communication skills for resolving billing inquiries

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 55k - 60k/year range
    • End-of-year bonus after one full year of service
    • 401k: 5% match after one year of service
