Medical Collections Specialist

Qualifications

•Minimum of 3 years of medical billing/collections experience •Candidate must exhibit excellent time management organizational skills •Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast change environment •Ability to prioritize workload •Be a team player •Knowledge of Medicare, Commercial Insurance •Must have ICD-10/CPT knowledge •Adhere to HIPPA guidelines and regulations •Experience utilizing Medical Billing Software Eclinical preferred

Responsibilities

•The Medical Collections Specialist is responsible for collecting payment on overdue bills and accounts

•Keep customer billing information up to date

•Research accounts and disputes

•Resolve denials and appeals

•Correct patient reimbursements and arrange patient payment

•Provide clear and concise documentation of every action taken on account
