Medical Director – Emergency Medicine, $550K+ - Northern NJ Near NYC

We’re seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine physician and clinical leader to serve as Medical Director of a busy emergency department in Northern New Jersey, just outside New York City. This opportunity offers strong compensation, meaningful leadership duties, and the support of a full specialty team in an academically affiliated hospital.

Compensation & Role Overview:
• $250/hour clinical rate (1099 independent contractor)
• $10,000/month Director stipend
• Estimated total compensation: ~$550,000 annually
• Malpractice insurance with tail coverage provided
• Teaching hospital with Epic EMR and 39,000 ED visits/year

Responsibilities:
• Deliver clinical care in the ED
• Provide administrative leadership over staffing, scheduling, quality, and performance
• Collaborate across departments and with executive leadership
• Engage with residency and fellowship training programs

Qualifications:
• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM required)
• Eligible for New Jersey Medical License
• Required: ATLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS
