Position Overview:
The Medical Director will provide clinical guidance and oversight for a nursing home facility offering both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services. They will coordinate medical care, implement resident care policies, and ensure the delivery of high-quality physician and nursing services.

Qualifications:
- Education: MD or DO degree with board certification in a relevant specialty.
- Licensure: Active Wisconsin medical license
- Experience: Prior experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or medical leadership preferred.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of antimicrobial stewardship, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical oversight and guidance to the Administrator and care teams.
- Develop and implement resident care policies and clinical best practices.
- Ensure physician coverage and credentialing compliance.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and attend quarterly QAA Committee meetings.
- Serve as attending physician for residents without a primary care provider.
- Monitor practitioner performance and provide feedback.
- Review and respond to external surveys/inspections.
- Promote a culture of learning and adherence to current long-term care standards.
