    Position Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

    Overview: Equanimity Integrated Behavioral Health and Wellness, LLC (EQUANIMITY: IBHW) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to oversee the clinical operations of our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC). The Medical Director will play a vital role in shaping the clinical vision, ensuring quality care, promoting best practices, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This position provides leadership for our multidisciplinary team and is integral to the delivery of exceptional behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide clinical oversight and leadership to all psychiatric providers and clinical staff within the OMHC program.

    Ensure quality assurance and adherence to best clinical practices, accreditation standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

    Review, approve, and supervise psychiatric evaluations, treatment plans, and medication management services.

    Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, clinical case reviews, and consultations as needed.

    Serve as the principal psychiatric consultant to staff regarding complex cases and medication management issues.

    Develop, update, and enforce clinical protocols, policies, and procedures.

    Support the recruitment, credentialing, and professional development of psychiatric and clinical staff.

    Maintain a small direct caseload as needed, focusing on psychiatric assessments and medication management.

    Represent the OMHC in clinical audits, external reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

    Ensure that clinical operations align with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic goals.

    Work collaboratively with the Owner, Clinical Director, and administrative team to drive and ensure programmatic success and growth.

    Qualifications:

    MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Psychiatric DNP accepted.

    Board Certification in Psychiatry (adult or child/adolescent specialization a plus).

    Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Maryland.

    Minimum of three (3) years of post-residency experience in psychiatric practice, preferably with experience in community mental health or outpatient behavioral health settings.

    Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

    Excellent clinical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

    Knowledge of Medicaid regulations, behavioral health documentation standards, and OMHC operations preferred.

    Work Schedule:

    20 hours per week

    Flexible scheduling within standard business hours (Monday–Friday)

    Occasional evening availability for leadership meetings or case consultations as needed
