WHO WE ARE: We are a Psychiatric practice providing mental health services to the Chicago and Western Suburb areas. As a growing organization, we are looking to hire an additional medical receptionist to be based out of our Wicker Park location.

As a medical receptionist for our practice, you will be a huge contributor to the culture and the success of this office. Each employee will also cross train other job functions , giving you the opportunity to learn new skills. We work as a team however, the individual parts of our team must function well independently in their respective roles.
Our practice handles a considerable amount of phone traffic for appointments and general inquiries. Since the majority of the job will be communicating with patients, individuals with excellent communication skills is a must.

SCHEDULE:
Day Shift
Monday-Thursday 9:30am-5:30pm
Friday - 9:30am-3:30pm
Saturdays - No Saturday hours yet, possibly in the near future.

JOB DUITES:
Greet patients in a courteous efficient manner.
Answer multiple phone lines promptly and courteously.
Record messages and make sure they are attended to and brought to the attention of the relevant person/department.
Schedule/Reschedule/Cancel patient appointments following set office procedures.
Register patient and verify demographics and insurance.
Collect patient co-pay and outstanding balances.
Maintain HIPAA compliance about all patient information and all aspects of the Practice.
Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
Maintain patient records and update information as necessary.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
Provide administrative support to medical staff as needed.
Obtain referrals as needed.
Communicating with our off site billers to help resolve patient billing inquiries.
CANDIDIATE MUST MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED:
Consistent, reliable work history and great professional references
Excellent multi-tasking, customer service, and communication skills
Maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies and handle sensitive information appropriately
Strong attention to detail and extremely organized
EXPERIENCE:
Medical Reception: 1-2 yrs. Required
Insurance Verification: 1-2 yrs. Required
Authorizations: 1-2 yrs, Required
