  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    Greets and Checks in Patients

    Check insurance and scan cards

    Puts insurance cards into the correct EDI group.

    Checks insurance eligibility at check in or 48 hours before visit.

    Collect Co-pays, deductables or Co-Insurance, understands how to find copays in IE section of ECW

    Answers Multi-Phone Line and appropriately routes calls, documenting phone calls.

    Schedules patient appointments for MD, ARNP, PA, SPA, Weight Loss

    Answers general questions, about Spa, Weight Loss and Trintiy Medical Associates

    Takes appropriate Messages in ECW and forwards to correct person.

    Appropriatly triages phone calls or walk-ins

    Keeps phone directories up to date

    Checks all messages on all phone lines and transcribes them. No phone messages left on phone at end of day.

    Maintains master calendars

    Schedules based on scheudling protocols or direction of Office Manager

    Maintains weight list as needed.

    Returns calls to patients for scheudle requests.

    Manages portal scheduling

    Manages Kiosk, scheduling and paperwork

    Manages Helow App and Campaigns as directed by Admin.

    Scans billing EOB's into Billing software.

    Monitors all patients admitted to the hospital to discharge, for follow up appointments, referrs to CCM or Home Health Corrdinator/Case mangagement as directed.

    Maintains a list of all patients in ALF's, Home Health, Nursing Homes and Hospitals with date of admission, faciltiy and or date of discharge.

    Obtains authorizations and pre-authorizations for patient care services done in the office.

    Maintain's lunch schedule

    Maintains visitor entry into the back office.

    Prints bill for patient at patient's request.

    General Accountabilities

    Listens to customer requests, assists them in providing telephone messages or obtainig the answer to the question they are asking.

    Appropriately manages schedule

    Sets up any additional assistance needed by patients, such as sign language interpreters, or other assistance needed for office visit.

    Assists patients with registering for patient portal or kiosk.

    Performs clerical duties such as sorting mail.

    Updates patient information,.

    Keeps records of calls placed and received.

    Other duties as delegated by Office Manager

    Job Qualifications

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent

    Experience: 2 years of related experience

    Experience with ECW software, MS office products

    Experience with Medical Billing
