    Job Summary

    Well-established Internal Medicine private practice looking to hire a friendly, welcoming Part Time Medical Front Office Receptionist to join our team Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 1:30pm.

    As the Part Time Medical Front Office Receptionist for our busy private practice, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will greet patients as they arrive and help in the following areas: check in, collect copay/balance, post to patient's account, schedule appointments, and answer phone calls, as well as attend to the needs of the patient. The ideal candidate is a team player who has a cheerful disposition, excellent communication skills and outstanding attendance and punctuality.

    Reports directly to Billing Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
    • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual as needed
    • Schedule appointments
    • Collect co-pays or payments at check-in
    • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
    • Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed
    • Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
    • Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
    • Maintain the waiting room
    • Filing, scanning, faxing

    Experience:

    • Previous experience working as a front desk receptionist in medical office, or similar setting is preferred
    • Proficiency in using office software systems, such as Greenway or other electronic health record systems is desired
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing patient records and appointment schedules
    • Familiarity with Medicare Annual Wellness visits and PQRS measures/attestations preferred

    This position requires a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
