    Position Summary:

    The Medical Lien Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the medical lien process, managing the lien specialists, and ensuring compliance with program requirements. This individual will serve as a critical link between our medical practice, legal teams, and provider liaisons, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care and billing. The Medical Lien Manager will manage the lien process from scheduling through settlement, developing strong relationships with legal representatives and provider liaisons to support patient care and maximize recovery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lien Management Oversight: Manage the lien specialists to ensure that all medical liens are processed accurately and timely. Ensure that patient appointments, documentation, and billing are completed and sent to the appropriate law firms on the same day.

    Provider Liaison Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with the practice's Provider Liaison, as well as with Provider Liaisons from law firms. Ensure strong communication channels and collaboration to facilitate smooth processes for patient scheduling, billing, and case settlements.

    Patient Scheduling Coordination: Ensure that patients requiring medical care under a lien are scheduled appropriately and all services are performed on the same day, avoiding delays in treatment or reporting.

    Billing and Documentation: Oversee the timely completion of medical notes, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and submitted to the legal teams on the same day as the patient visit. Manage the billing process, ensuring that all invoices are sent to law firms promptly.

    Process Tracking and Reporting: Manage and track the lien process for all patients, from the initial appointment through settlement. Generate and maintain reports to monitor patient progress, billing status, and legal settlements, ensuring full transparency and accountability throughout the lien process.

    Settlement Review and Negotiation: Review lien settlements and negotiate with legal teams to ensure fair and adequate compensation for medical services rendered. Approve settlements in alignment with the practice's goals and policies.

    Program Compliance: Ensure that all lien program requirements are followed, including compliance with legal, medical, and organizational guidelines. Develop and update internal processes as necessary to maintain efficiency and compliance.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred)

    Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing, lien management, or healthcare administration

    Strong understanding of lien processes and legal frameworks related to medical claims

    Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience working with legal teams and provider liaisons

    Bilingual Preferred (English and Spanish)

    Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail

    Proficiency in medical billing software and reporting tools

    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Experience:

    Experience in a personal injury or litigation support environment

    Familiarity with the legal processes surrounding medical liens and settlements

    Working Conditions:

    Office-based with occasional need for remote coordination.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

    Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time. Carry up to 20 lbs at a time. Push patients in a wheelchair and on a gurney as needed.
