Position We are hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant to support a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic focused on getting people back to their lives! We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, and customer-service oriented individual to perform these duties while helping craft the ultimate patient experience.
The ideal candidate
Two years medical office administrative experience. Rehab experience a plus.
Two years experience using an EMR medical software and patient scheduling system required
Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office, including accurate typing and data entry skills.
Knowledge of medical insurance authorizations and verifications preferred
Ability to interact with physician office staff, insurance providers, teammates, and patients
Excellent work habits with close attention to deadlines and detail-oriented assignments.
Work independently with provided instructions
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Responsibilities
Answer phones and be the perfect first interaction with our clinic
Schedule patient appointments
Collect payment and coordinate with billing department
Obtain insurance authorizations
Perform office supply inventory
Perform patient registration
Assist with completion and transmission of all daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting as needed
Education/Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
Medical insurance knowledge is preferred
Clinic is open Monday through Friday, closed on weekends and for most major holidays.
