As the primary administrative support to our medical staff, you will be assisting patients complete the necessary steps prior to their in-person or virtual intake and follow up visits with the Physician Assistant for their medication management services. This position entails coordination of pre-authorizations with insurances and pharmacies, scheduling appointments, coordinating required documentation/assessments for appointments, assisting with lab requisitions, updating patient records, and communicating with patients on behalf of the PA's. This is a full-time in-person position during our office hours of M-F 9-5pm. Responsibilities: • Be able to manage tasks in a timely manner • Accurate medical documentation • Friendly and courteous demeanor • Relay important data or changes of patient status to Physician Assistant or general physician and other facility staff as needed • Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies as needed. • Manage office supplies and ordering • Maintain the office environment, supplies, and organization for staff and visitors. Qualifications: • Exceptional communication skills in working with patients and families to maintain positive relationships • Knowledgeable in record keeping through a computerized database to maintain patient history • High level of organizational skills and professionalism. • Must have previous experience supporting medical staff where you were assisting with pre-authorization requests and refill requests as well as communication with insurance and pharmacies. Compensation: $18 - $20 yearly
