    A progressive, physical therapists-owned outpatient Physical Therapy practice in historical Wilmington’s beautiful coastal community is seeking an Medical Office Assistant for our Wilmington (Oleander) and Leland Clinics. Our outpatient clinics see a diverse range of patient diagnoses and offer opportunities in varied specializations: orthopedics, balance, vestibular, neuro, concussion, Parkinson’s, oncology, and lymphedema. We are seeking someone with full time availability for this position. Starting pay is $15.00/hour.

    Duties:

    Having excellent phone etiquette and skills

    Initiating and maintaining a positive patient experience

    Scheduling of patient visits

    Assuring accurate and friendly check-in of patients

    Taking co-payments/co-insurance collections

    Call those who have missed co-payment

    Communicating with insurance specialist, those patients that need call regarding insurance benefits

    Assuring optimal use of therapists’ schedules by monitoring holes in schedule and filling in with people on cancellation list hourly

    Enhancing patient communication: Assist/ finalize thank you notes/get well notes to patients

    Salary: starting at $15.00 per hour
