    Desert Ophthalmology is looking for a Front Desk Supervisor to join our Team.

    Job Summary

    Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

    Must be able to train new hires when available on the following skill sets:

    Check-In

    Check Out

    Batching/Balancing

    Responsible for copayment, patient balances, coinsurance, and deductibles are collected on every patient.

    Ensure our front desk team greets all patients and delivers excellent patient care.

    Be the liaison for patient complaints and work alongside the Director of Operations.

    Must work in front office answering phones and scheduling appointments.

    Assist the Director of Operations Manager as needed for any projects or initiatives.

    Assist in developing training tools for front office staff.

    Responsible for scheduling or rescheduling patients due to provider schedule changes for the location assigned.

    Shares responsibility for the weekly schedules with the other supervisors and the Director of Operations.

    Create a culture of patient excellence and deliver outstanding customer service.

    Interact professionally with other employees and customers.

    Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.

    Check and confirm the eligibility of all patients before their appointment.

    Help identify areas of development and coaching with staff and communicate with the Director of Operations.

    Qualifications

    Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a doctor's office. Some supervisory experience is preferred.

    Performance Requirements:

    Quality written and verbal communication skills.

    Professional in appearance and mannerisms.

    Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with patients and coworkers alike.

    Able to prioritize tasks, understand the supervisor's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.

    Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

    Physical Requirements: Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, mobility to complete errands, or sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally, the work environment may be very stressful. May view computer screens for long periods of time. Occasional weekend work may be required.

    Job Type: Full Time 35-40 Hours per week

    Schedule:

    Monday - Friday

    Weekends as needed

    Experience:

    Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)

    Bi-Lingual a plus

    Work Location: In person

    Two Locations - Plam Springs and Palm Desert, California
