    Sheth Horsley Eye Center is hiring an experienced Medical Receptionist who can take over administrative duties involved with coordinating patient and physician schedules as well as bookkeeping, file management and office organization. We’re looking for a professional who believes patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down, look patients in the eye and provide personalized service.

    Reports To: Front Desk Supervisor/ Practice Administrator/ Medical Director

    Responsibilities/Duties:

    Patient Check in/out

    Provides an outstanding patient experience!

    Telephone coverage

    Chart filing

    Ability to provide excellent customer service

    Data entry

    Ability to multitask

    Ability to thrive in a fast environment

    Ability to check insurance eligibility

    Ability to obtain provider referrals for insurances

    Collect patient fees and reconcile the daily collections

    Utilize Electronic Medical Records System (NexTech)

    Assist Doctors with inputting information into EMR system accurately

    Ensures confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records

    Obtain referrals and clearance physicals from PCPs for scheduled surgeries

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    Two years experience in medical office / healthcare environment or experience as a medical receptionist, medical assistant, medical secretary, or medical administrative assistant

    Bilingual a plus
