Job description
We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced ENT medical office environment.
Full-time: 40 hours per week. This is a DAY SHIFT (8AM-5PM) Monday -Friday. These times may vary depending on need.
Applicants must be fluent in English. Fluency in other languages preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and welcoming manner.
· Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
· Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments.
· Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
· Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and provide support as needed.
· Manage office supplies and maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
· Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
· Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned by office management.
· Daily review of the schedule;
· Manage the appointments, respecting order of arrival and timeline.
· Manage delays and keep patients informed.
Requirements:
· Must be willing to travel to work in each of our locations.
· Desire and ability to continuously improve one's knowledge.
· Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred.
· Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software and basic computer skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
· Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures preferred.
License/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is preferred.
