    Essential Functions:

    • Receive payments from patients for services rendered and prepare daily bank deposits.
    • Maintain accounts receivable records and place necessary collection calls to patients and insurance companies professionally.
    • Verify patient insurance eligibility and obtain insurance referrals as needed.
    • Enter financial transactions and miscellaneous correspondence on computer systems.
    • Scan and link documents in patient records via Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
    • Act as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Work closely with the Accounts Payable team and other relevant divisions to resolve payment issues.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
    • Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including Excel, Word, and medical record applications.
    • Familiarity with medical terminology, health insurance policies, and MDland/ECW.
    • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, trustworthiness, analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal communication.
    • At least one year of relevant healthcare experience.
    • Knowledge of medical office policies and procedures.
    • Ability to interact with diverse groups and maintain patient, team member, and employer confidentiality.
    • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and maintaining accurate patient data.
